Service Guidelines for Current Customers
- Curbside Timing: All carts and waste should be placed at the road the night before service.
- Extras: All customers are allowed up to 2 extra trash bags (32 gallon) outside of their trash carts for no additional charge. Any bag over 2 will be charged at $1.50 per bag.
- Hazardous Materials: Hazardous waste will not be picked up under any circumstance. These items include: medical waste (needles or other biohazardous materials), paints & stains, cleaning agents, fertilizers, flammable substances such as oil and gas, and dead animals. If hazardous materials are concealed in your normal household waste, your service will be terminated, and you will be held responsible for any damages, injuries, or environmental cleanup.
- Unbagged Waste: Unbagged household waste will not be picked up unless the waste is boxes or other related packaging material.
- Large Items or Non-Household Waste: Large items that do not fit in your trash cart are not guaranteed to be picked up. Additionally, large items that do fit in your trash cart that are deemed at risk of damaging the truck will also be left. Any of these items can be scheduled for a separate pickup. Customers should call ahead prior to placing these items out for pickup. Additional charges may apply. Examples: mattresses, box springs, appliances, furniture, electronics, timber, construction debris, yard waste, dirt or other substrates, rocks. Dumpster Exception - larger items are generally permissable for customers with dumpsters, but the limitation for potential truck damage still applies.
- Holidays and Weather: Evergreen Waste Management / Lil Kirks does not pickup over certain holiday's including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. If your service day falls on or after these holiday's, your service will occur one weekday later than usual. Inclement weather or other disasters may also cause your day to shift.
Frequently asked questions
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations require one week of advanced notice. A fee will apply to service cancellations requested within one year of the first service date.
What time of day will my trash be picked up?
Evergreen cannot guarantee a pickup time. Routes can shift week to week due occurences like weather, holidays, traffic, and road closures. To ensure pickup, please have your trash out the night before.
Can you come back for my trash?
If your trash is not at the curbside when our drivers arrive, we cannot guarantee a repickup. Refunds will not be issued, and if a repickup is approved then fees will apply.
How do I pay my bill?
Payments can be made over the phone, online (contact us for instructions), or through the mail (no cash, check only). We accept all major credit cards, ACH payments, checks, and bill pay through your financial institution.
When will I be billed for my service?
Quarterly billing is done approximately one month prior to the start of the quarter, and is due 20 days into the quarter. Monthly billing is completed during the first week of the applicable month. Bills will be delivered according to your preferences (email, mail, or both).
Can I pay in advance?
Paying your bill in advance is accepted and provides a locked rate benefit - your rate will remain the same throughout the entire period you have paid for (up to one year).
